Dear Emmaus Community,

The excitement is on the rise! The Fall walks are coming and we know that God has great things in store for the Pilgrims, Team members, our Community, and our churches. Emmaus is about opening the eyes of those in the pew to how they can better serve Jesus through their local church. God gives them His love through us - We have the privilege of being instruments of God. All of you are needed. Let\'s pray how God will use us in building up His Kingdom through the Walk to Emmaus.

Now is the time to start Table Agape. The walks will be here soon and we want to be able to bless the pilgrims with lots of Table Agape just as you were blessed on your walk.
Thank you for all you do to make the walks as special as always.

The first team training session for both the men’s team and women’s team went very well. The teams are working hard and sacrificing to follow God’s will and plans for the upcoming walks. As a community we should also be helping through our prayers and through other ways. The Board prayerfully asks for you to:

• Continue to pray!
• Take action to sponsor that person God has placed on your heart.
• Furnish table agape.
• Volunteer to provide snacks for the Walks by contacting Amy Wallis at 223-8294.
• Plan to be at send-off, candlelight service and closing.

At the meeting on August 13, 2005, Jack Kemper resigned from the board. Jack has done a great job of coordinating our gatherings and has been very successful at involving many churches. Jack’s input, energy and cheerful disposition will be missed at our meetings. Jack’s position will be filled by the election at the end of this year.

Dear Cross Point Emmaus Community:

Please accept my resignation today from our Emmaus Board. I have been overjoyed being the Gathering Coordinator for the past few years. You folks on the Board, as well as the Community, have treated me so very kindly. The reason for my resignation is that I’m planning to go back to school to work on a doctorate.
