| CROSS POINT EMMAUS BOARD REPORT: | |
At the board meeting held 12/10/2005 many issues were discussed. The actions of the Team Selection committee were approved and the Board was blessed to hear of the great progress made by the Lay Directors in building teams for the Spring 2006 walks. The Lay Director for Men’s Walk 61 is Tim Shields and the Lay Director for Women’s Walk 62 is Paula Pfau. These positions carry with them hard work, long hours and many blessings. We again ask that you please pray specifically for Tim and Paula and their spouses as they continue to seek after God’s will for these walks, their teams and their lives. |
Below is the financial report for the Fall 2005 walks. There was a substantial deficit for these walks. As the board continues to consider how to deal with this issue, the board asks each of you to remember to support your Cross Point Emmaus community through your prayers and your gifts. |
Your attendance during the walks is a very important part of each walk. Unless you are a team member, every day you come to Cross Point Camp our community is assessed a fee for insurance to protect you and the camp. The fee is $2.00 for each day. If you plan to come every day on a weekend you can pay $6.00 for the entire weekend. Normally we have had a basket out for this payment. If you forgot to pay your insurance (or got to camp without any money in your pocket) please send the money for this insurance to Cross Point Emmaus, P.O. Box 2107, Ardmore, OK 73401. |
Our registrar has numerous name tags that were never picked up. If you requested a new name tag please contact Laura Davis to make arrangements too obtain your new name tag. The cost for a new name tag is $5.00 which should be paid when you place your request. If you are sponsoring someone who previously registered but then could not attend, please let Laura know as we may already have a name tag for them! |
God bless you and keep you! |

“The good men perish; the godly die before their time and no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to realize that God is taking them away from the evil days ahead. For the godly who die shall rest in peace.” Isaiah 57:1-2 |
In “God’s Inspirational Promise Book” Max Lucado refers to this scripture and poses the following statement and questions, “My, what a thought. God is taking them away from the evil days ahead. Could death be God’s grace? Could the funeral wreath be God’s safety ring? As horrible as the grave may be, could it be God’s protection from the future? Trust in God, Jesus urges, and trust in Me.” |
We cannot understand the “whys” of life here on earth but we can depend on the truth that God is in control. Let us all pray that God, with His infinite love, care and grace, will gently fill the empty places in our lives left when He calls a loved one home. |
In honor and memory of a true friend and Godly servant Mitch Sperry. |
